The fantasy anime series, Arifureta was first aired in 2019. The complete name of the series is Arifureta: From Commonplace to World’s Strongest, and it has been written by Ryo Shirakome. After quite a long break of two years, the Second season of the series premiered between January 13 and March 31, 2022. The popularity of the series seems to be calling the makers to give the audience a third season.

The last volume was published on January 25, 2022. The digital volume came on June 23, 2022. The first two seasons of Arifureta have encompassed six volumes leaving six more volumes of the story to be adapted in forthcoming seasons (if any).
It is the popularity of the show that decides the upcoming season of the anime series. Currently, approximately 83k people follow the official page of Arifureta on Twitter. Approval for an upcoming season is usually when a page has 100K followers or more. Ever since the release of the second season of Arifureta, the searches have drastically increased for this series. The 83k mark will likely reach the 100k mark and be approved for a season renewal.
Since there is no confirmation of renewal currently, nor is the production under process, if there is a season 3 for Arifureta, it will not be before 2024.
Plot of Arifureta
The story of Arifureta is about Hajime Nagumo, a high-school student who is always bullied by his classmates. Soon things go haywire not just for Hajime but all his classmates too. They are summoned to a fantasy world where they are considered heroes and have to save the humans from becoming extinct. Hajime’s classmates have godly powers, but poor Hajime simply gets transmutation skills. The series is all about Hajime’s journey in this world and how he survives with this small skill.
