Natasha Rothwell Career
She began her career as a teacher for KIPP (Knowledge is Power Program) and then went on to roles in Wild n Out and Royal Pains. Her first work as a writer was for Saturday Night Live in 1975, where she wrote for 21 episodes. She also wrote for Characters in 2016 but mainly gained fame from writing for HBO series Insecure. Rothwell soon began developing, writing, and executive producing for other shows. She joined other authors in firing their agents on April 15, 2019, as part of the Writers Guild of America’s campaign against packaging and the Association of Talent Agents.
She is the owner of Big Hattie Productions and has recently made a deal with ABC Signature, which is a subsidiary of Disney Television Studios (a division of Disney Entertainment). Under this deal, she is writing a new upcoming series, ‘How to Die Alone’, which will be telecast on Hulu. Natasha will play the lead role of Melissa in this series.

She has also given her voice in serials like DuckTales (voice of Zan Owlson) and Star vs. the Forces of Evil (voice of Brunzetta).
Rothwell can also be spotted in several Hollywood movies in various roles – A Year and Change as Angie, Love Simon as Ms. Albright, Like a Boss as Jill, Sonic the Hedgehog as Rachel, Wonder Woman 1984 as Carol, and Sonic the Hedgehog 2 as Rachel. She will soon be seen in a Warner Bros. Pictures movie Wonka, which is due for release in 2023. Wonka is a prequel to the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory novel 1964.
