The CMAT 2018 results were declared on 15th of February and is available online in the official website of AICTE. The common management admission test (CMAT) was held on 20th January, 2018 across various test locations in India. The results were declared 5pm onwards.
What is CMAT?
The CMAT examinations are hosted by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). It is a national level entrance examination which allows the selected students to get admission in the management institutions. It is an online computer based examination.
All AICTE approved institutions accept the scores obtained in CMAT exams.
The students were also given a chance to submit their objections on the questions before the release of results. This facility was available till 27th January, 2018.
How to check the CMAT results?
For all the students who are eager to check their results, they can check it on the website of AICTE. Just by following these simple tests, the students can check their results.
- Visit the official website of AICTE, http://aicte-cmat.in.
- The link for the results of CMAT 2018 will available on the homepage. Click on it.
- After clicking on the link, you will be redirected to a page where you will be required to submit your CMAT 2018 registration number. Click on submit.
- The result window will pop up on your screen. You can download it and print it for further use.
Important events of CMAT 2018
The CMAT examination 2018 was held on 20th January 2018. The results were declared on February 15th, 2018 5pm onwards. The students were also given the opportunity to submit their objection to the questions till 27th January, 2018. The Group Discussions and Personal Interviews are expected to begin from March or April.
CMAT Results – Scorecard
The results of CMAT 2018 can be displayed as Scorecard and Merit List and it is available on the official website. The scorecard contains the data of marks and percentage scored. Based on these, the students would get admission in the various MBA colleges. The following details are usually found in the scorecard:
- Details of the candidates.
- Score in the respective subjects.
- Percentage secured in the respective subjects.
- Overall score.
- Overall percentage.
The student gets +4 marks for every correct answer. It also has the system of negative marking, -1 for every wrong answer.
Calculation of percentage
The percentage of the student is calculated as P= {(N – Rank of Candidate)/ N} * 100.
P= Percentage, N= Total number of students who appeared for the examination.
CMAT Results Merit List
Along with the score card, the merit list is also published as per the All India and State wise rank. It contains the details of candidates along with score and percentage in every section. It also contains the total score with percentage. The ranking in the merit list is calculated on the following basis:
- Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation.
- Logical Reasoning.
- Language Comprehension.
- General Awareness.
If more than one student secures the same rank, they are assigned the same rank but are sorted as per the starting alphabets of their names.
After the publication of the results, the students would get calls from all the concerned institutes. The GD and PI would soon begin for the selected candidates of CMAT 2018 examinations.
