When is the Release Date of Anek?
The movie was previously planned to launch in 2021. The principal photography of the film started back in January 2021, and by March, it was completed. The first release date was set up for September 17, 2021. However, the ongoing pandemic situation delayed its initial release date. Since the situation has been a lot better recently and the box offices around the globe opening up, the makers of Anek decided to set the theatrical release date of the film on May 13 this year.
So unless the Covid situation gets worse, we will get to see Ayushmann Khurana in action on the big screen. The actor posted his movie’s first look on a social media handle with a caption that says, “It takes just ONE to make a difference. Time to unite as Ek! Jeetega Kaun? Hindustan! #Anek IN CINEMAS 13.05.2022.”
Anek Movie Plot
Anek is a Hindi socio-political crime thriller movie that tells the story of a man named Joshua (played by Ayushmann Khurrana). The movie is set in the geopolitical background of Northeast India. After ‘Article 15’, it’s Ayushmann Khurrana’s second project along with Anubhav Sinha. So far, only the first look of the movie has been released.
The plot of the movie still remains behind the curtains. But when asked about the main lead, the brilliant actor Ayushmann Khurana said,
“It’s only once in a while that an actor comes across a story that makes him jump out of his comfort zone. While I have always backed novel stories, Anek pushed me to perform with a renewed zest.”
This may just gonna be one of the toughest characters that he has ever played in his whole career. Plus, it’s also the actor’s first action movie, so we will get to see a different side of Ayushman altogether.

Written and directed by Anubhav Sinha, the movie stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Abhinay Raj Singh. These two are gonna be the main characters of this movie. The movie is produced by Anubhav Sinha, Bhushan Kumar and T-Series, and Benaras Mediaworks. Ewan Mulligan is the Cinematographer and DOP of the movie.
Anek Movie Budget
As of now, we don’t know anything about the movie’s budget. But we suspect that the movie was made with 90-100 crore Indian rupees. We will get to know about its budget once the makers of the film release something about it.
