ABC is all set to release the new unscripted series “The Parent Test”. The different parenting philosophies will be the theme of the series.
“The Parent Test” will put 12 families through a series of stress tests and request input from parents on controversial issues so that both parties can better understand one another. The show is based on the popular Australian television program “Parental Guidance”.
Meet The Cast
The show will feature 12 families and they will go through tough situations to provide us best parenting techniques. Comedian Ali Wentworth will host the show along with parenting expert Dr. Adolph Brown.
The passionate discussions between parents who may have differing views on how to raise their families will be shared by host Ali Wentworth and Dr. Adolph Brown. However, all of the parents share the same objective of raising happy, healthy children.
Ali Wentworth:
“I hope it sparks a much wider national dialogue about how we’re rearing our children. I also believe that the pandemic destroyed all of the preconceived notions about parenting. Screens and social media are examples of things where you might have had a rule about them before the pandemic. However, you allowed them to use screens much longer than you would have otherwise because you wanted your children to feel connected. Additionally, I think that the younger generations are going through a serious mental health crisis that we haven’t even identified or have data on yet”.
Dr. Brown:
“I wanted to be a part of a show with heart, with humor, but also with some actual explosion. I believed it would be extremely valuable and a conversation that would be beneficial for our children, who are our most priceless human resources.
