Remember the famous series ‘The Love Boat’ that was aired between 1977 and 1987? If you are unaware of this last show, then you have an opportunity to watch a better and an all-new version of it – ‘The Real Love Boat’.
The show will feature real people who are single and are ready to give themselves a chance in love. While the older version had couples competing for love while cruising on Princess Cruise Ships. ‘The Real Love Boat’ will have the contestants cruise in a luxury cruise ship in the Mediterranean.
What happens on ‘The Real Love Boat’?
The crew members, including the Captain and the Cruise Director, will participate in the competition and help with matchmaking like the original series. The contestants will spend a month cruising the sea, and the winning couple will be awarded a cash prize and a trip with Princess Cruises. The latter are the partners in this show.
The US is not the only country to get The Real Love Boat. Australia too is making its own version to air on Channel 10, including Hannah Ferrier of Bravo’s Below Deck Mediterranean. The premise will be the same and will also take place on the Mediterranean Sea.
The Real Love Boat Producers
The Real Love Boat is a production of Eureka Prods in association with Buster Prods. The executive producers are Paul Franklin, Chris Culver, and Wes Dening. Scott Helmstedter will be representing Princess Cruises. Husband and wife couple Jerry O’ Connell and Rebecca Romijin will be hosting the show. They will be celebrating their 15th wedding anniversary on the cruise along with the contestants.
There is no update about who the contestants for The Real Love Boat Season 1 would be. However, a small trailer for this show was released a few days back, giving the audience an insight to what to expect from this show. Here it is,

Release Date of The Real Love Boat and Where to Watch
CBS holds the IP rights for the show, and the first episode will be available on October 5, 2022, i.e. Wednesday at 9:00 PM on CBS.
Fans are already looking forward to this show and awaiting to watch the chemistry and romance between couples who aboard the cruise.
