Just a day before Season 4 of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel began streaming, Prime Video made a big reveal – Marvelous Mrs. Maisel will return for a fifth and final season. This American period comedy-drama first premiered on Amazon Prime Video in the month of March 2017. It has been created by Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino.
The plot is set in 50’s and early 60’s, where a typical housewife who has recently been divorced looks to explore her skills as a comedian, a world that is dominated by men.

Rachel Brosnahan, who plays Midge Maisel, has received an Emmy, three Screen Actors Guild Awards, two Golden Globes, and two Critics Choice Awards for the role in the series. She happens to be the first actor to have been received so many accolades just for a single series.

The production for Season 5 was completed last year in November 2022. Prime Video made an announcement on March 2, 2023, that the final Season (Season 5) will begin streaming on April 14, 2023. There will be 9 episodes that will run over a period of seven weeks.

Prime also announced that Kelly Bishop playing Benedetta, would return to the final Season as a guest star. Fuller, who played Dinah Rutledge, and Jason Ralph, who plays the role of Mike Carr, will also be a part of Season 5, but they will have bigger roles this Season.
