The Fame Game Review
The story revolves around the superstar Anamika Anand who goes missing one fine evening after her Award function. The Fame Game depicts the darkest side of Tingletown and their unwilling choices. The creator Sri-Rao with its story, justifies the title. The sacrifices to become famous in Bollywood are served finely with a twisty mystery surrounding the disappearance of Anamika, played by Madhuri Dixit, making her debut on the streaming platform.
With the 8, 45-minute long episodes, you will go in a trope of celebrities’ lifestyle, affairs, financial problems, domestic face-offs, troubled childhood, and lots more. But, the story is wrapped up in all engaging and lets us hooked to the screenplay by Rao and co-writers Shreya Bhattacharya, Akshat Ghildai, Nisha Mehta, and Amita Vyas. Directors Karishma Kohli and Bejoy Nambiar extracted top-notch performance from the lead actors and supporting actors.
The Fame Game Episodes
The episodes keep on moving back and forth in time, revealing the dark romantic past secrets of Bollywood Diva Anamika Anand with his co-star Manish. Shobha (Rajshri Deshpande), starring police officer and investigates the Anamika case with a palpable dislike for the Bollywood crowd. Later, Shobha’s hate for the glamour of Bollywood slowly morphs into warm respect for Anamika as she uncovers the actor’s past.
But is Anamika really who that audience and Sobha is thinking about her? The story entangles with lops of twists and turns. She is bothered by her marital life, kids, and her broken relationship with her children, and the list goes on. Her light smile is hiding many truths and pains behind she always conceal herself in public.
Lakshvir Saran and Muskkan Jaaferi, who plays Avi and Amara, Anamika’s troubled children. Both the young stars go on head to head with Dixit and superbly hold their character. Avi’s character is an intense, sensitive fellow, and his performance is the most heart-touching who shares a hot and cold relationship with his mother. He has his own legitimate issues. Amara’s character slowly grows from sweet to sinister as she has her own issue of being a mommy-like figure, but she has to live in her shadow of stardom.
The Fame Game Story Ending
The trauma inflicted on children’s minds due to their parent’s actions and Aanmika’s relationship with her dominating mother, played by Suhasini Mulay. Anamika’s mother forced her daughter to work in the film business and had control over Anamika’s career from an early age. Sanjay Kapoor plays Nikhil, Anamika’s shady movie producer husband. He plays with Anamka’s finances, about which she is unknown.
The mother-husband duo’s domineering nature is enough to bring Anamika crazy. Manish (Manav Kaul) shared a romantic relationship in the past with the star renters her life again months before her disappearance. When the case investigates, he became one of the major suspects in this case. Kaul nailed his character by making The Fame Game a great hit.
In the series, a short dance performance by Dixit has been portrayed, and the dhak-dhak girl has filled the charisma of her dance once again. For knowing what would happen to Anamika? Was she murdered or kidnapped? What turns the story will take? Watch the full series on Netflix.
