India’s Best Dancer, the popular dance reality show by Sony TV, is making a comeback with a brand new season and a fresh batch of contestants. The initial audition rounds for the third season of India’s Best Dancer have already begun. The show will feature the same panel of judges as the previous season, namely Terence Lewis, Geeta Kapur, and Sonali Bendre, who will replace Malaika Arora. The first episode premiered on April 8.
The contestants will have 90 seconds to impress judges with their super cool dance moves. After that, judges will select some participants for the mega audition, and from there, only the top 12 contestants will move ahead and compete for the title of India’s Best Dancer 2023. Those who do not make the cut will be eliminated from the competition. Just like the previous season, Jay Bhanushali is hosting the show. Norbu Aveed Tamang, a talented dancer from Siliguri, West Bengal, is one of the contestants. His impressive lyrical dance performance has won the hearts of the judges and audience alike. Norbu has previously participated in “Dance+6” and received high praise from super judge Remo D’Souza and other judges for his outstanding performance. Norbu also boasts a considerable social media following, with 3671 followers on his Instagram account.
Shivam Wankhede
Shivam Wankhede is another skilled dancer who hails from Maharashtra and has made a name for himself in the world of dance. His talent was recognized when he participated in DID little master in 2012. He then competed in DID season 6 in 2016, where he reached the top 6. He is also the winner of 2MAD (Maharashtra Asal Dancer). He has more than 23k followers on Instagram. For the IBD3, he was selected in the mega audition.
Sushmita Gyaba Tamang
Sushmita Tamang is a talented dancer and choreographer. She also got selected for the mega audition in the IBD3. Sushmita has previously participated in Dance+6 as a contestant and also worked as a choreographer on the show Best Dancer Nepal. Originally from West Bengal, she won the dance show Danzstation, which was started by choreographer Remo D’Souza.
Shivanshu
Shivanshu, hailing from Satna, Madhya Pradesh, is an incredibly talented dancer with exceptional skills that are bound to leave anyone impressed. He showcased his abilities in the renowned dance competition, Dance+6, where he left the judges and audience amazed with his amazing performances and reached the top 12. Given his exceptional performance, Shivanshu is expected to be a strong contender for this season of IBD. He has been selected in the mega audition round.
Aniket Chauhan
This season offers so many highly talented contestants, among whom is Aniket. He previously appeared on Dance +4 as a crew member of a team called Gogglegang. Aniket is not only a contestant but also a choreographer and has now secured his spot in the top 12 of IBD 3.
Hansvi Tonk
Hansvi Tonk is a trained classical dancer (Kathaks) who got the Balshree National Award for her Kathak performance. She participated in India’s Dancing Superstar. With her mesmerizing performance, Hansvi got selected for the Mega audition round of India’s best dancer season 3.
Akshay Pal
Akshay Pal is another talented and versatile dancer with a dynamic style and has amassed a following of 17.7k on Instagram. His popularity came in 2013 when he participated in India’s Dancing Superstar and emerged as the 1st runner-up of the show. His role model is none other than Prabhu Deva. His hometown is in Indore, and now he’s been selected for the IBD.
Anjali Mamgai
Anjali Mamgai is on the list. She’s originally from Delhi and has over 93.2 k followers on Instagram. She was a participant in Dance Deewane 3. She has been selected for the mega audition.
Ram Bist
We all saw the super moves of Ram Bist. What shocked the judges more was that he had previously participated in IBD 1 but was eliminated during the face-off challenge. His impressive performance has gotten him praise from Geeta ma’am. Ram’s hard work and perseverance paid off as he has been selected for the Mega audition round in IBD 2023.
Ranodip Poddar
In his debut dance reality show, Ranodip Poddar from West Bengal amazed the judges with his outstanding dance moves despite being only 17 years old. He showcased his skills in classical Bharat Natyam and got selected for the Mega audition round.
Rohan Chaudhary
Similarly, Rohan Chaudhary from Assam is a 22-year-old Hip-Hop dancer who had impressed the judges and secured his spot in the mega audition. He is a big fan of Tushar Shetty.
Harsh Keshri
How can we all forget the contemporary dance to the ‘Aankhon ke Panno se’ by Harsh Keshri. The 18-year-old from Patna received a standing ovation from the judges. Terence Sir praised Harsh for his exceptional dance moves, and he has been selected for the mega audition round. He had also won the Dance+6 with the trio of Harsh, Sneha, and Tejash and is now making his way in IBD3.
Ankita Londhe
Ankita is originally from Pune and she’s a freestyle and contemporary dancer. During the mega audition round, she got emotional about her mom, saying it’s all thanks to her mother that she is here.
Ajnikya
Ajnikya lives in Mumbai. This 29-year-old dancer hats off to all the judges with his amazing lyrical dance performance and has gotten a place in the mega audition. His age never stops him from achieving his dream of performing on the greatest dance reality show in India.
Vikram Shergil
Vikram is from Karnal, Haryana, and showcased his Krumping skills on the same show. Within 90 seconds, his amazing dance skill got all the attention of the judges, especially Terrence Sir. Vikram previously participated in Dance+ with his team in 2015 and was one of the top 12 contestants.
Prathmesh
Prathmesh hailed from Maharashtra, is one of the charming performers with his amazing performances. He received a standing ovation from Terence Sir and the name “true entertainer”. His true Guru is his mother, who has been teaching him since Prathmesh was only 9 years old.
Shubham
Shuham lives in Thane, Maharashtra. And he got a standing ovation from Geeta Ma’am and a place in the Mega audition.
Vipul Kandpal
Vipul Kandpal, aka VIPs, is a 26 yrs old Chandigarh-based dancer and a professional dance choreographer. His mind-blowing skills in hip-hop got standing ovations from all three judges.
Sara Soni
One of the amazing performances in the audience was given by Sara, who is from Jodhpur and performed a unique dance style called Nirakar. In the middle of her performance completely forgot her steps. However, the judges were so impressed that they gave her another chance and she shined ever so brightly.
Dhananjay Joshi
Last but the least, Dhananjay is from Jodhpur. Judges had no other option but to give him the badge. After his performance, he revealed that his biggest supporter was his grandmother.
