The lockdown may need to extended seeing the current situation in India, indicated Prime Minister Narendar Modi to legislature party leaders.
Since the 3-week lockdown is about to come to an end on 14th April, 2020, experts and district administrations have asked for an extension seeing the increase in number of cases of this pandemic disease.
According to sources, PM Modi told,
It is not easy to lift the lockdown, we need to be strict in implementing the social distancing norms. The general mood is that it is possible that the lockdown will not be lifted at once.
The priority of the Indian Government is to save each and every life and since the pandemic disease, Covid-19 has already led to economic challenges, the Government is committed to overcoming it.

PM Modi clearly told the party leaders that tough decisions might need to be taken in the near future. He will be meeting the Chief Ministers on 11th April to decide whether to lift the lockdown or extend it.
