Korean electronic giant, LG is once again back in the market with its new phone series. Back on Wednesday, it launched an efficient LG V40 ThinQ at a special event in New York. There were speculations made in the previous time but with the final reveal, everything has become clear. The phone features five cameras and the boombox speaker is pretty much the same as LG G7 ThinQ.
LG V40 ThinQ Specifications
The display for LG V40 ThinQ is 6.4inch with QHD and OLED FullVision. The resolution of the phone is 3120X1440 pixels. Very much similar to LG V35 ThinQ, the V40 would to be compliant with MIL-STD 810G Standard. Also, the phone is designed to be dust and water resistant. As far as the design is concerned, the phone has a matte glass finish. According to the claims of the company, the matte finish won’t get affected by the fingerprint stains.
LG V40 ThinQ Memory
The phone runs on the 8.1 Oreo version of Android ad Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. The RAM for the phone is 6GB and it is available in two variants for memory, 64GB and 128GB. As far as external memory is concerned, the phone can support the 2TB microSD.
LG V40 ThinQ: 5 Camera Setup
The new part of the V-series will have 5 cameras with the triple camera setup. The triple camera set up is divided with the 12MP lens of focal length f1.5, 12MP lens with focal length f1.9 and the front super wide camera lens of 16MP with focal length 1.9. The front of the phone has dual camera set-up with 8MP standard camera of focal length, f1.9 and the wide-angle camera of 5MP with focal length f2.2.
To make most of the use of the triple camera feature, LG has taken to introduce the Triple Shot feature. Since the phone features three rear cameras, with the support of the Triple Feature, one will be able to capture three images at once. This they can do by using the standard, telephoto and wide-angle lens. V40 ThinQ also supports the AI camera by the company similar to the LG G7 ThinQ. The smart camera would adjust the saturation itself and all the essential camera settings for the phone.
Cinemagraph can also be created using either of the cameras. This is made possible because of the Cine Shot mode. All the three cameras at the back will be able to create it.
LG V40 ThinQ Connectivity and Sound
As mentioned earlier, the phone support boombox technology, but it also runs of 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC, which aims at delivering high-quality sound.
LG V40 ThinQ is LTE and supports WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth. The phone sports USB Type-C 2.0. the battery capacity of the phone is 33900mAH. It gets charged based on Charge 4.0 technology.
The phone is available in four different colours like New Aurora Black, Carmine Red, New Moroccan Blue and New Platinum Grey. The phone is ready to go down in the US market since 18 October. In US, the phone is priced to be $900-980.
