Delhi Capitals won the toss and Rishabh Pant had no hesitation in bowling first on a good pitch. MS Dhoni also showed signs of bowling first when asked during the toss.

Chennai Super Kings had a very bad start with loosing both the openers Faf Du Plessis and Gaikwad in under 3 overs. CSK were struggling at 7/2 after 2.1 overs. Moeen Ali and Suresh Raina steadied the ship and started hitting some boundaries to take the score to 60 Runs when R. Ashwin took the wicket of Moeen Ali.

Sam Curran’s (34 Runs off 15 Balls) cameo towards the end took CSK to a pretty good total, finishing at 188/7 after 20 overs.

Delhi Capitals openers came out strong. Both Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan were striking the ball to every area of the stadium and took on every CSK bowler. Both had a partnership of 138 Runs when Prithvi fell to Dwayne Bravo. Dhawan continued to hit the ball to every corner of the park and Delhi Capitals were able to finish the game in the 19th over loosing just 3 wickets.
