The story revolves around different detectives who are working together to solve a series of unconnected murder mysteries.

Created and written by Nic Pizzolatto, the series so far has had great success, and audiences are asking for more. True Detective Season 4 Release Date

Season 3 aired on January 13, 2019. The 8 long episode series ended on February 24, 2019. And since then, it’s been 3 years that we haven’t gotten any more seasons. Back in 2019, Pizzolatto did, in fact, tell the press that he’s been working on the next season, but he never confirmed it. Later in January 2021, Pizzolatto started working for HBO and exited his FX deal. There is some speculation regarding the release date of True Detective and that the next season is expected to hit next year. Although, there is not any confirmation from the creators of the series. If the creators are working on the story, it will take about a year to complete the series.

The season 3 cast was full of A-listed actors and actresses. The show included people like Academy Award-winner Mahershala Ali (Detective Wayne Hays) along with, Carmen Ejogo (Amelia Reardon), Stephen Dorff (Roland West), Scoot McNairy (Tom Purcell), and Ray Fisher (Henry Hays).
