The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild (2022) Release Date, Cast and Ratings

A new Ice Age movie is on the way. Yes! The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild is a new spin-off of the iconic Ice Age franchise, which is set to premiere on Disney+ later this month. The new animated picture comes after a six-year gap.  And this time, it focuses on Buck (voiced by Simon Pegg); a one-eyed weasel, first introduced in Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, who resides in the Lost World, a subterranean castle brimming with dinosaurs and other ice age species.

Everyone’s favorite prehistoric mammals are back with their usual mischief, but this time we will be accompanying Buck on his thrilling adventure as he saves possum brothers Crash and Eddie from a chaotic world filled with dinosaurs.

The Ice Age: Adventures of Buck Wild Release Date

Blue Sky Studios first developed The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild as a television series. However, once Disney acquired Blue Sky Studios’ parent business, 20th Century Fox, “Adventures of Buck Wild” was converted into a film in December 2020. For now, the premiere date for “Adventures of Buck Wild” is set for January 28, 2022, according to the film’s official trailer, which was unveiled during Disney+ Day on November 12.

Instead of a purely theatrical release or a hybrid strategy, “Adventures of Buck Wild” will be released straight on the popular Disney+ streaming service. It looks that it will be included in the standard membership tier rather than the Premier Access category, which has previously included “Black Widow” and the live-action “Mulan” remake. So, Disney+ subscribers will not have to pay an additional fee to watch the new “Ice Age”movie.

Given the film’s release date of January 28, it’s safe to presume it will be available for streaming at 3 a.m. ET/12 a.m. PT
