Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah: Who is Going to Replace Dayaben?

The year 2021 made it 13 years for Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah. The sitcom has been entertaining us through the small screen for years. This popular show is more than just a good plot. It is all about its characters who are tremendously talented and deliver their parts so well.

Amongst the many characters that people love to watch in this serial is that of Dayaben, played by Disha Vakani. The talented television actress has won the hearts of millions of viewers.

Ever since the serial was aired, Disha had been entertaining her fans as Dayaben. However, after she gave birth to her daughter in 2017, she had to quit the serial. Fans have since then been waiting for Disha to return as Dayaben so they can once again hear her unique accent and to watch her readily perform garba at any situation.

Will we see a new Dayaben?

Not long back, it was rumoured that Divyanka Tripathi was offered a role in Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma as Dayaben. However, the actress, in an interview, addressed the rumours and revealed that none of this was true and there was no truth in the rumours. Divyanka revealed that she was looking for fresh and challenging roles.

Earlier this year, Asit Modi, the producer of the show, said that the entire team of Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma was waiting for Disha’s return. He also said that if Disha wants to quit the show, then the show will continue with a new Dayaben. However, he did not reveal his thoughts on casting a specific actress as Dayaben.

For now, fans must contend with watching the show without Disha as Dayaben till the actress shows interest to join back the show.
