Sunil Grover’s take on Family Time With Kapil Sharma

People are well aware of the fight between Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover. A year ago, both of them were involved in an ugly fight on an airplane which then became the talk of the town. Both the parties came up blaming each other. While Kapil openly apologised, Sunil couldn’t forget the treatment of Kapil towards him and always refrained from keeping relationships with him. However, the fight is seem to taking an ugly turn since the past week.

Sunil had earlier responded to a fan’s tweet regarding his reunion with Kapil Sharma. In the tweet he responded by saying that he was waiting for Kapil’s call, but since Kapil didn’t approach him, he joined another project. Kapil didn’t approach Sunil for Family Time with Kapil Sharma. Sunil further added that his phone number is still the same, but he was not approached and then he decided to move on.

Soon after, Kapil came up and accused Sunil of ‘lying’ and ‘spreading rumours’. Kapil further added, that he had called Sunil for like a 100 hundred times but he did not respond. He later on said that Sunil was ‘taking the advantage of his name’. The spat remained the same, but in a recent interview with SpotboyE, Sunil said that had he been approached, he would have considered working on the show.

In the interview with SpotboyE, Sunil said, “Yes, so many people keep saying to join the same team wherever I go. I would have considered it, yes. We, all of us, have worked as a team and have been lucky to be a part of the most successful show. I am not holding grudges against him. It’s been long since our previous show got over. His new show plans I got to know much later, almost when everybody else got to know. I can’t sign up a show through media invites. There are many aspects involved before joining a show.

At least a call. There were no calls whatsoever from anybody related to the show. Actually I wanted to clarify. Wherever I was going, I felt that people are holding an impression that i am being haughty and arrogant in not agreeing to work with Kapil in his new show. Surely, I couldn’t barge on his set. Anyway, thank you for connecting with me at the right time. I don’t know what exactly he has been going around saying and why he hasn’t clarified yet that he hasn’t offered me the new show.”

Regarding his new project, Sunil said, “I am moving on as I have signed up for a new project. I hadn’t taken up any regular show in the past one year. I could have, but did not. God is kind to have given me another opportunity somewhere else. Now I don’t want to lose, before offers stop coming to me. I wish Team Kapil ‘Good Luck’ for their new show. They are matured people, they must have had a valid reason to not include me. They do a nice job of making people laugh. I wish them success, love, luck and good health to all of them.”

A few days back, Sunil had posted a selfie with Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai star, Shilpa Shinde, and hence it is expected that they are collaborating for a new comedy show. Sunil Grover had given successful characters like Gutthi, Dr Mashoor Gulati, Rinku Bhabhi and many others to the shows of Kapil. Rajesh Arora (Kapil Sharma) and Dr Gulati (Sunil Grover), were the most loved characters.
