The wait is over! After a long hiatus for 2 years, “So you think you can dance” is renewed for Season 17, which last aired in Summer 2019. SYTYCD is not the only show that was presumed to be dead due to a pandemic, but the list is too long.

SYTYCD is a flagship series of the international television franchise that was created by American Idol producers “Simon Fuller” and “Nigel Lythgoe”. Produced by Dick Clark Productions and 19 Entertainment, the first season of the show was hosted by “Lauren Sanchez”. However, from the second season, the show was hosted by former British children’s television and game show personality “Cat Deeley”.

In June 2020, a FOX representative stated that the production of Season 17 of SYTYCD is not moving forward due to health and government restrictions after the COVID-19 pandemic.
