The Central Board of Secondary Education, on Friday, released a notice covering the class 10 and 12 examinations due to the pandemic. Ever since the pandemic broke out, everything came to a halt, even the business. CBSE stated that the performance of the students will help to determine how they will move forward.
The average marks of the exams will be considered to determine the best.
“For students who have appeared in the examinations in more than three subjects, the average of the marks obtained in the best three performing subjects will be awarded in the subjects whose examinations have not been conducted,” as said by CBSE Exam COntroller Sanyam Bhardwaj.
He further added, “For students who have appeared in the examinations in more than three subjects, the average of the marks obtained in the best three performing subjects will be awarded in the subjects whose examinations have not been conducted.”
NorthEast Delhi saw massive, violent protests due to the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act in February which also served as a reason for cancellation of exams.
Since it is evident that the average marks won’t satisfy the students, they can choose to appear for the particular exams in future. This is only valid for Class 12, however, Class 10 students won’t be given a chance to appear in the exams and their earlier performance in mid-terms will be their final score.
The revised exams were scheduled to be held from July 1-15, but again due to the rising number of cases, the board came up with the decision to bring it to a halt.
