Modern Love Mumbai Plot: What could be expected from the storyline?
Overall Modern Love Mumbai feels like a tight hug and comfort of love with six different love stories, including an old age 60-years old divorcee, Dilbar, and a young guy from her neighborhood Danesh. The tale depicts the love that knows no number of ages; Danesh is attracted to her, but the story ends such a way overwhelming scene depicting there are several barriers in the society, and after an age, women are no more charming, and it is a shame if someone thinks about their happiness.
Hansal Mehta’s story Baai depicts a gay couple in love which is still a shameful decision in Indian society. Manzar and Rajbeer have a beautiful bond, and the narrator has tried to bring the heartwarming story of this gay couple to light in 42 minutes. The homosexual love that is hidden in the lane of Mumbai is served with appealing dialogues in this episode.
Dhruv Sehgal, Nupur Asthana, and Shonali Bose have done a great job bringing all the unique love stories of Mumbai on board in one place, but the real Mumbai is missing in each story. They tried to connect Mumbai and Thane through Saiba and Parth’s love story, and it was a good approach.
Many women could connect with Lalzari’s character from Raat Rani, a Kashmiri girl who eloped to Mumbai because her parents didn’t accept her marriage with Lutfi, a lower caste man. But, Lal’s world is devasted when Lufti confesses he is no more in love with her. This brings a self-loving woman and the comic side of Lal. The heart-melting heavy dialogues make you feel cry at the end of this episode.
Overall “Modern Love Mumbai” is worth watching with lots of emotional breakdowns, challenges, and sacrifices in love. The movie has been rated 8/10 by IMDB.
All the stories are enjoyable, but Baai and Raat Rani are my favorite picks. Share in the comments which episode is your favorite!
