Kesari: Battle of Saragarhi
The movie Kesari is entirely based on the story of Battle of Saragarhi. It is regarded as one of the greatest battles in the history of military. 21 Sikhs took over the force of 10000 rampaging tribesmen, or Afghans and fought against them for six hours. However, the story did not get the respect it deserves. Thus, it finally got its due after 120 years when the story was adapted through 21 Sarfarosh: Saragarhi 1897 in the Netflix series. The lead of the movie, Akshay Kumar will be playing the role of Havildar Ishar Singh.
The battle was one of the most significant battle after the Second Anglo-Afghan War. The 10000 Pashtun tribesmen came together and took over the 21 Sikhs. But, it were the Sikhs who killed the 180-600 Afghan warriors. Thus, it was the victory for Sikhs as the Afghans finally decided on giving up.

Directed by Anurag Singh, the movie is set to feature a strong star cast. Undoubtedly, the role of Akshay Kumar as Havildar Ishar Singh is a commendable one, there are other string characters which are sure to blow your mind. Mohit Raina, who made his Bollywood debut with the extreme hit, Uri, is all set to be back to the big screen with Kesari. In the actress category we have Parineeti Chopra and Bhagyashree playing the roles of Eesha and Sohini, respectively.
