Bigg Boss 16 Elimination: Popular Actress Sreejita De Becomes 1st Contestant to Step Out of the BB House

The first contestant to be eliminated from Salman Khan’s show Bigg Boss is Sreejita De.

Sreejita made a positive impression on the show with her interactions with Tina Datta and Manya Singh. However, we are certain that her absence from the Bigg Boss 16 house will be disappointing to her fans.

Since it was evident that Sreejita and Tina are close friends even before they appeared on the show, their friendship has become the talk of the town. We were unable to observe an equation between them inside the home. She expressed her extreme disappointment, shock, and sadness over the elimination.

Probable Reason for Elimination

During Weekend Ka Vaar, the host Salman Khan revealed that she had been nominated by the audience because of her altercation with the folk dancer Gori Nagori in the kitchen. During their altercation, Sreejita referred to Gori as “standard-less”. Sreejita received a lot of backlash for her remark about the dancer.

In one episode Sreejita said about Gori that, these peoples are not worth debating or talking about at all.

“Only knowing English doesn’t mean you can call others ‘gawaar’ (illiterate),”

Sreejita’s Reaction Over Elimination

Sreejita expressed her disappointment following her eviction. She said “I’m disappointed, incredibly shocked, and sad. During my time in the house, none of us knew how the viewers were watching us or what they were thinking about each contestant. I didn’t believe that anyone was working against or for me, but now that I’m out and have had a chance to watch a few episodes, I realize that I could be much more assertive.”

Sreejita also added, “Now, I can see that Tina (Datta) is constantly criticizing me. On the other hand, she made three attempts to contact me and assured me that I would be safe. She attempted to manipulate me, but it was unsuccessful, so why would I want to be her friend when I am certain she is not? She appears to have said a lot of things behind my back, which is totally unacceptable. Wish I had known it before being eliminated so I could give it to her right away.”
