Another Pan-India Film Ready to Set New Box Office Records: Prabhas’ Adipurush

Pan India Movie trend is very much appreciated by both audiences and the   Indian film Industry. It is no secret that Tollywood actor Prabhas redefined Pan-Indian films by starring in and as the Baahubali. One more film is almost ready to entertain us with its charm, Adipurush.

Adipurush is the most anticipated film of the year. Adipurush is a Hindu mythological film based on the Ramayana. Directed by Tanhaji fame, Om Raut. Director Om Raut got impressed by the Japanese film, Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama. While stuck in Covid lockdown in 2020, he wrote the script for the Adipurush.

Adipurush Cast

Director Om Raut approached actor Prabhas, he liked the script and signed the project. Saif Ali Khan already played the role of antagonist in Om Raut’s film Tanhaji and signed to play the role of Lankesh. Makers of the film approached actresses like Anushka Shetty, Anushka Sharma, and Kiara Advani for the role of Sita but after a long search, they finally signed Kriti Sanon on board to play the role of Janaki. To play the role of a younger brother of Lord Rama, Lakshmana, Sunny Singh joined the team in early 2021.

Adipurush Budget

Director Om Raut is known for making films on a big scale, his previous film Tanhaji was also made on a budget of 125 Cr. Speaking of Adipurush which is said to be the most expensive film ever made in India, made with a whooping budget of 500 Cr. Shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu language, Adipurush will be dubbed in more than 15 languages for the theatrical release.

Adipurush Release Date

The shooting of the film was completed in November 2021 and earlier Adipurush planned to release on 11^th Aug. 2022 clashing with Amir Khan starrer Laal Singh Chadda. The film got delayed in post-production work and now the new release date of the film is 12^th Jan. 2023.

The poster released earlier looks promising and shows a new never seen avatar of actor Prabhas. The teaser of the film will be released on 2^nd October 2022 on the banks of Sarayu in the holy land of Ayodhya, Utter Pradesh.
