American country pop vocalists and songwriters duo Dan Smyers and Shay Mooney will be making history as they join The Voice Season 25 as the first-ever duo-coaches. The announcement was made on February 12, 2024, just a couple of weeks before the show premiere. 

Who is the Famous Duo – Dan and Shay?

Dan and Shay began their journey together after they met at a party in Dan’s house in 2012. Their first work was for Rascal Flatts, and they soon received many offers from famous music publishing companies. They have won many awards, including several Grammy Awards, Teen Choice Awards, Academy of Country Music Awards, CMT Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and more.

Along with Dan and Shay, who will be making their debut as coaches this season, John Legend, Chance the Rapper, and Reba McEntire will be seen coaching the participants. Gwen Stefani and Niall Horan will not be returning as coaches for this season. Carson Daly will be returning for Season 25 to host the show – the former MTV VJ has been hosting the show since Season 1.

The Voice will premiere on NBC on February 26, 2024 at 8:00 PM. If you miss the show, you can watch it on Peacock the next day.
