The Witcher Season 2 Review, Cast, Episode Release Date and Time

After the first season gained huge popularity worldwide, the second season of The Witcher released on 17th December 2021 on Netflix. The second season was expected to release last year, but the production got delayed because of the world pandemic and after that because of the keg injury of the lead actor Henry Cavill.

The first season was based on ‘The Last Wish’ and ‘Sword of Destiny’. Fans can expect to see the storyline following Sapkowski’s ‘Blood of Elves’ in the second season. One who knows the Witcher Saga will know that Blood of Elves is actually the first book in the main series and fans can expect the introduction of new characters in the second season. Fans also can expect to see Geralt’s ‘family’ including the witchers Coen, Lambert, Eskel, and the wise Vesemir.

According to Lauren Schmidt Hissrich (the showrunner), this season is going to be more engaging as it will have a more cohesive storyline where viewers wouldn’t have to deal with different branches as the previous season.

Episode Date: 17 December 2021

Executive Producer: Mike Ostrowski

Genres: Drama, Fantasy, Adventure Fiction, Action Fiction
