The eight films and television shows, ranging from The Incredible Hulk to She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and his multiple cameo appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe are included here:
The Incredible Hulk (2008)
The Hulk’s history is only briefly revealed in the film’s opening credits, as Edward Norton’s Bruce Banner spends the majority of the time evading General Ross, the US Army, and SHIELD. After a titanic showdown in Harlem with Tim Roth’s Emil Blonsky/Abomination, Banner departs on his own once more in an effort to bridge the gap between his two radically different characters.
The Avengers (2012)
Bruce Banner is tracked down in India by Scarlett Johansson’s Natasha Romanoff in order to enlist him in the Avengers Initiative, but his time spent on the Heli carrier researching the Tesseract ultimately causes him to Hulk out. He then proceeds to team up with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to fight Loki and the Chitauri in the Battle of New York, giving fans a classic MCU moment when he slams the God of Mischief into Stark Tower like a ragdoll.
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
In Age of Ultron, Banner teams up with Tony Stark to build Ultron, before the AI software malfunctions and sends the Hulk on a rampage in South Africa as they attempt to stop the AI menace. Hulk joins the team Avengers once again to save the people of Sokovia. He then takes off aboard the Avengers’ Quinjet to an unidentified location.
Thor: Ragnarok (2017)
The Hulk created his own kingdom in Thor: Ragnarok in the two years following his departure from Earth. He did this by defeating other gladiators on Sakaar to become the Grandmaster’s champion, which brought him and Thor back together in the arena. Hulk must unite with Thor in Thor: Ragnarok to fight against Hela.
Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
The threat of Thanos has emerged from the cosmos while the Avengers and their allies have continued to defend the planet from threats that are too great for any one hero to manage. Infinity Stones are stones with boundless power, and Thanos wants to gather all six of them in order to wield them to impose his dark will on the whole planet. The future of Earth and existence have never been more in doubt.
Avengers: Endgame (2019)
With the birth of Smart Hulk, who aids Scott Lang and the Avengers in solving the enigma of time travel, Banner and the Hulk reach a compromise. In Avengers: Endgame Hulk and Avengers defeat Thanos, and once again save the universe after obtaining the Infinity Stones in the Time Heist, even losing Natasha Romanoff in the process.
Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings (2021)
In a meeting with Captain Marvel, Wong, Shang-Chi, and Katy in the film’s post-credits scene, Bruce accepted his role among the new Avengers, while still being in human form. Fans are curious about Bruce Banner’s future, especially since he appears to be able to go back and forth between Bruce Banner and the Hulk again.
She-Hulk: Attorney at Law (2022)
