‘The Chosen’ Season 4: Release Date, Cast, Plot, and Everything You Need to Know

The Chosen was first premiered on December 24, 2017, and is an American historical drama that is set in the 1st century in Judaea and Galilee. It revolves around the lives of Jesus of Nazareth and the people whom he met with. After completing three seasons, the show is back with a set of fresh episodes in Season 4 – every season featured 8 shows.

When Will The Chosen Season 4 Premier?

The show will premiere on February 1, 2024, and the audience will be able to watch the first 3 episodes. Episodes four, five and six will be available for the audience to watch on the big screen on February 15, 2024, whereas episodes 7 and 8 will hit the screens on February 29, 2024.

The Chosen is created, directed and co-written by American film and television director Dallas Jenkins. The co-writers are Typer Thompson and Ryan Swanson. The producers of the series are Chad Gundersen, Justin Tolley and Chris Juen.

The Cast of The Chosen Season 4

Actor Jonathan Roumie has been entrusted with the role of Jesus of Nazareth and the actor seems to be doing a wonderful job in capturing the hearts of the audience with his performance. 

Other actors who have important roles to play in the series include Shahar Isaac who plays Simon Peter, Elizabeth Tabish portrays Mary Magdalene, Paras Patel plays Matthew, Noah James is seen playing Andrew, George H. Xanthis will play John, Shaan Sharma will be seen in the character of Shmuel, Giavani Cairo will enact the role of Thaddeus and Nick Shakoor will be Zebedee in the series.

What Happened in Season 3 of The Chosen?

In Season 3, audiences say that the mission of Jesus and his disciples is put in jeopardy as challenges from authorities and internal strife increase. Following his wife’s miscarriage amid Purim festivities, Simon Peter’s faith begins to dwindle. Because of the turmoil that Philip and Andrew’s mission caused, Jesus steps in. As tensions rise, a transformative mission that emphasizes the roles of each disciple takes place. Significant occurrences, such as a feast for 5,000 people and Jesus walking on water, occur in the epilogue.

What is the Plot of Season 4?

The makers are yet to reveal any details about the episodes of Season 4, but the director did mention that Season 4 will be ’emotionally challenging’. However, he did mention that one of the episodes will portray the loss of John the Baptist, played by David Amito.
