The movie and Akshay Kumar’s character was hinted at the end of the Simba movie and was all set to release on 24 March 2020, but it got postponed due to pandemic. After that, it was expected for theatrical release on 30 April 2021 and again, the producers were unable to execute its release due to the rise in COVID-19 cases and lockdown in Maharashtra. Finally, Sooryvanshi is getting released on 5 November 2021, parallel to Diwali.

The director Rohit Shetty has made the movie exciting by bringing all veteran actors under one roof from two blockbuster movies, i.e., Ajay Devgan as DCP Bajirao Singham and Ranveer Singh as Inspector Sangram from Simba. Other casts are:
