For over two decades, our famous blue speedster Sonic the Hedgehog has been sprinting around in Green Hills and creating adventurous stories for the fans. The gaming franchise of Sonic the Hedgehog has branched out to create comics, movies, and, recently, television shows.
After the success of Sonic X and Sonic Boom back in 2003 and 2014, respectively, Sonic Prime is all set to make an appearance on the OTT platform. The series premiered on Netflix on December 15, 2022.
There will be eight episodes in Season 1. The first episode will last for 40 minutes, and the other episodes will be 20 minutes each.
The trailer for Sonic Prime is also available on YouTube. Our blue hero has to face Dr. Eggman, who has something even more dangerous in store for Sonic – Paradox Prism.
Eggman has shattered the prism and sent Sonic to a multiverse where his friends are variants of cyborg. The end of the trailer shows Sonic racing through the water when suddenly he is addressed as Shadow by a flickering figure.
The lead cast of Sonic Prime includes:
Trending now: Enola Holmes 3
For more than 10 years, Roger Craig Smith was the voice behind Sonic and Colleen o’ Shaughnessey was Tails – both have been replaced by Deven Mark and Ashleigh Ball, respectively.
In a face-off with Dr. Eggman, the Paradox Prism is shattered and Sonic is sent through time and space to a new world of Shatterverse, where he has an adventure of a lifetime. He looks for his friends so he can get home and he does find Rouge, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, and others. However, his friends in this verse are cyborgs – they don’t just look different but also have different characteristics, abilities and, moreover, they have no idea who Sonic is.
Sonic does receive help which happens to come from one of his rivals. But Sonic is short of time because he also has to save his friends from Dr. Eggman and his army of Badnik robots.
