The 2nd season of Sanditon released in the US on Sunday, March 20, 2022, at 9/8c on MASTERPIECE on PBS. And it premiered on Monday, March 21, 2022, on BritBox in the UK. You will be able to watch the series on ITV.

The Plot of Sanditon Season 2
The second season’s plot is more romantic than the first, which revolves around Charlotte Heywood. Charlotte will return to the town of Sanditon along with her younger sister Alison and soon will attract the vision of two young men, Captain Declan Fraser (Frank Blake) and Captain William Carter (Maxim Ays), in the upcoming series.
According to the official statement,
“The drama will continue to follow the high-spirited and independent heroine, Charlotte Heywood (Rose Williams), as she returns to the picturesque coastal resort of Sanditon. Charlotte’s journey is one thread of an intricate tapestry of compelling stories full of intrigue, excitement, and romance.
Against the backdrop of beautiful vistas, familiar faces return, and new inhabitants are introduced – all of whom will be having adventures as joyous and surprising as the seaside town itself.”
MASTERPIECE Executive Producer Susanne Simpson has stated, ” Georgina is keen to forge her own identity, gets up to mischief in the name of love… but will she run the risk of being lonelier than ever before?”. The audience can expect more romantic aspects caused by the arrival of the army.
Audiences will also see Charlotte taking up the responsibilities of governess to Augusta Wilson, Alexander Colbourne’s ward and niece, and putting herself into a lot of trouble.
Not only that, but makers have also stated, “Tom Parker strives to rebuild Sanditon, but many unforeseen issues are awaiting him, while the secrets and lies of the dysfunctional Denhams continue to rock the foundations of the sunny seaside town.”
