Even before the book Nightbitch by Rachel Yoder was published, its rights were acquired by Annapurna Pictures and Bond Street Entertainment, owned by Amy Adams and Stacy O’Neil, joined them. Amy Adams has both acted in and co-produced the film. It has been made under the direction of Marielle Heller. Soon before the production began, Searchlight Pictures purchased the film rights for $25 million.

The makers are yet to announce an official release date for Nightbitch. Considering that the filming of the movie began in October 2022 in Los Angeles and the ongoing strikes in the movie industry, we can expect the movie to be released in 2024. The movie will be released on Hulu.
