Netflix’s New Heist Comedy “The Lost Lotteries” Release Date, Plot, and Cast of the Movie

Are you drawn to films with plots about men who get wealthy overnight, heists, and lots of action? The Lost Lotteries, a Netflix original that uses this idea but with a twist, will be released on the streaming service.

The Lost Lotteries is one of six new releases Netflix has planned to increase its original Thai content, including two series and four films.

Thai filmmaker pioneers like Apichatpong Weerasethakul, who has gained notoriety internationally, have improved Thailand’s reputation in the worldwide film community.

Thailand still has a long way to go, though, compared to pop culture behemoths like South Korea, which in recent years has exported its K-pop and K-dramas to loving followers all over the world.

Release Date of The Lost Lotteries

The Lost Lotteries will make its Netflix debut on November 16, 2022.

The Plot of The Lost Lotteries

The Lost Lotteries has a compelling plot. Tay is a destitute adolescent with high dreams who sells lottery tickets. He gets a call from his mother telling him not to sell lottery ticket set 5 because four people had already purchased them.

He soon learned that set 5 had a lottery worth 30 million baht. However, the joy was short-lived because the lottery ticket seller, his mother, and four other people (wen – a shoddy movie extra, Zoe – a funny mc, Khung – a failed salesman, and beat – a poor locksmith) who pre-booked the lottery ticket will now plan a heist without having any prior heist planning experience.

They have to put some pedal to the metal and take on the mobsters who took their lottery tickets in order to get them back. Although each person has a skill that will aid in the theft, the likelihood of a successful heist is quite slim.
