Meri Saas Bhoot Hai: A New Horror-Comedy on Star Bharat

FilmFarm India Productions has developed a new television series with a unique plot. ‘Meri Saas Bhoot Hai’ is fresh horror-comedy television series that will telecast its first episode on January 23, 2023, on Star Bharat at 7:30 PM. 

The serial is an official remake of a Bengali television soap opera ‘Chunni Panna’ that was telecast on Star Jasha. The show ran from November 11, 2019, to October 11, 2020.

Plot of ‘Meri Saas Bhoot Hai’

The plot of the series is set in the city of Varanasi. The story revolves around a young girl who has always dreamed of getting married and having a caring and loving mother-in-law. However, when she is married and comes home with her husband, she is surprised to learn that her mother-in-law is a ghost. Moreover, the ghost of the mother-in-law is a mischievous one and is always looking to cause trouble for her. 

Cast of ‘Meri Saas Bhoot Hai’

Sushmita Mukherjee is playing the role of Saas (Rekha), who is a ghost and looks for ways to trouble her Bahu (Gaura), played by Kajal Chouhan. Also present in one of the lead roles is actor Vibhav Roy who plays the role of Som and is Rekha’s son and Gaura’s husband. Initially, actor Namik Paul was supposed to play the role of Som, but he had several other prior engagements, which is why he had to be replaced by Vibhav.  

Where and When to Watch ‘Meri Saas Bhoot Hai’

‘Meri Saas Bhoot Hai’ will replace the ongoing show, Radha Krishan. The show will run for 30 minutes every day from Monday to Friday at 7:30 PM on Star Bharat. It will also be available for the audience on Disney Plus Hotstar.
