Lilo and Stitch is one of the best animated comic movies offered by Disney. Though it is a movie developed for kids and adults, it is one of the first movies to cover major issues like global warming and the beauty of Hawaiian culture, which is still underrated. There were many major and minor issues covered in the film, which made people love it. After years of wait, Lilo & Stitch has finally made its way to screens as live-action. Lilo and Stitch Live Action Remake Plot

According to the sources, Lilo and Stitch will continue the Disney trend of keeping the original plot in line. It is reported that the remake is going to be a perfect combination of live-action and CGI. Fans are eagerly waiting to see where producers and directors use that option of live action. It is also expected that Disney is going to stick close to the original movie premise. 

The original movie was positioned as a perfect family movie reflecting real struggles in a way that even children can understand them. Though most of Disney’s recent live-action movies are thoroughly criticized, fans hope that the upcoming live-action movie of Lilo and Stitch will improve the storyline of the original animated film. However, there are only assumptions at this moment, as none of the cast or crew members have made anything official about the upcoming movie.

Lilo & Stitch: The Cast & Crew

Not all the cast members are yet confirmed by Disney. The only cast member confirmed is the voice of Stitch. The voice will be played by Chris Sanders, who also played the voice of Stitch in the original Lilo and Stitch movie. He is also known for his voice for many other Disney characters, such as the voice of Tarzan and later, the voice of Belt from The Croods. He was an animator on the original Lilo and Stitch movie as well. None of the other characters are confirmed yet. 

The remake is directed by Dean Fleischer-Camp. The screenwriter who is going to make the live-action remake is Mike Van Waes. The producer of the movie is Jonathan Eirich, who also produced the live-action remake of Aladdin in 2019. It will be co-produced by Dan Lin, who has produced The Lego Movie. 

Lilo and Stitch Remake Release Date

The official release date of the movie is not confirmed yet by the cast and crew members. However, according to the sources, the tentative release date of the movie is May 10th, 2024. The movie is still in the pre-production stage, and the release date can change depending on how fast the production gets wrapped up.
