Netflix has been spiralling down in the last couple of months, all of their moves have been proving fatal and backfiring at them. The only thing that can help them lately is the broad spectrum of shows that Netflix’s executives are now putting on the platform. If you glance at Netflix’s April schedule, you will see that the entire month is packed with blockbusters on the world’s biggest OTT platform.
Among these top shows is Netflix’s Florida Man. The online entertainment platform released the full trailer of their awaited Crime thriller Florida Man on their official YouTube handle last month. The same man who created NBC’s ‘This is Us’, Donald Todd has written and created the show, which makes it a must-watch show. Today’s blog will tell you the “Florida Man” release date, story and cast details!
If we try to put the plot of Netflix’s Florida Man in simple words, we would say that this show is a story about an ex-cop turned gambling addict who owes a shit-ton of money to a gangster is forced to return to his home state, Florida when the gangster’s girlfriend goes missing.
Well, well, well. The story is not so simple though. There are twists and turns at every other moment. For starters, our hero was involved with the gangster’s girlfriend. When he learns that the girlfriend, doesn’t want to be found, he is forced to shake hands with a former convict and his father, Sonny Valentine to find her. And…when he really finds her she tells her “We Are Talking About 100 Million Dollars”.

While we obviously don’t know what it is. But what we know for sure is that all of this goes in the blender and what comes out is a BANGER OF A STORY! And the cherry on this spiralling journey? All of this is happening in Florida! What better can one expect?
As usual, Netflix has brought in multiple directors to direct the miniseries. This time the list has some of the biggest names in the industry, including the likes of Miguel Arteta (Succession), Julian Farino (Entourage), Haifaa Al-Mansour (BAFTA Nominee for Wadjda)
, Kevin Bray (Succession) and Clark Gregg (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.)
The show is written by Donald Todd (This is Us) and is produced by himself along with Michael Costigan (Body of Lies, The Outsider, Prometheus).

Created by Donald Todd and starring Edgar Ramirez and Abbey Lee, Netflix’s Florida Man is an eight-episode miniseries. The show is set to air Globally on Netflix on the 13th of April (Was avoiding Friday the 13th Netflix’s deliberate move? :p)
The best thing about watching shows on Netflix rather than platforms like HBO is that you get all the episodes in a single go and you don’t end up craving for the next episode at the end of the night (or morning)! While the trailer looks promising, let us see if the show turns out equally well! Till then, adios amigos!
