Farmer Wants a Wife has been inspired by a British reality series of the same name. The American version was first launched in 2008 on The CW, but after the first season, the series was canceled. However, in 2022, Fox revealed that they would revive the show, and it would be produced by Eureka Productions. The show successfully completed its first season and is currently telecasting its Season 2.
As the title reads, the show is about a farmer looking for love; the show features a farmer who is allowed to court between 8 and 10 women before he can select the one with whom he thinks is most compatible with him.

Season 1 comprised of a single farmer, Matt Neustadt, who dated 10 women from different cities before he chose Brooke Ward from Atlanta, Texas. Brooke was 22 years old and was a marketing representative. The show began on March 8, 2023, and ended after running for 8 episodes on May 17, 2023.
In May 2023, Fox renewed the show for a second season, and currently, the show is running its Season 2.
After the show renewed for Season 2, it premiered lately on Fox on February 1, 2024. However, unlike Season 1, the show features 4 farmers – each one dating 8 women. Here are some details of the participants:

The farmers speed date all the women and then let three of them go home. The five women whom they select live together with the farmer on a farm. Once they spend time together, the farmer decides with whom he is best compatible.

After it was revived, the show was presented by Jennifer Odessa Nettles for both seasons. Jennifer is a famous singer, songwriter, and actress. She has acted in several movies and was last seen in the 2023 Hollywood movie The Exorcist: Believer.
