Amazon Studios are known for bringing out content that raises the bar every time a new show airs on the Amazon Prime Video platform. With their latest show, Dead Ringers coming out later this month, I am sure the audience is expecting them to maintain their integrity with it. 

Dead Ringers are going to be a six-episode miniseries that is co-directed by Sean Durkin, Lauren Wolkstein, Karena Evans, and Karyn Kusama, all of whom are known for their free-flowing storytelling. What is Dead Ringers About

The show is a new take on the 1988’s film of the same name, directed by the master of horror that used to be full of gore. In this latest remake of the film, the story revolves around the themes of identity, sexuality, and control as the Mantle twins, Elliot and Beverly Mantle’s (both played by Rachel Weisz) relationship becomes increasingly fraught with tension and jealousy, leading to their descent into madness.

The identical twins are gynaecologists, who share everything, including their medical practice, drugs,  and even their love interests. Albeit their identical tastes and looks, they are quite opposite when it comes to behaviour and thought process, which adds the tonic to the gin. 

Their story is full of twists and turns and goes forward when both of the gynaecologist sisters, based in Manhattan take on a mission to change the way women give birth.

Rachel Weisz is going to headline the show and play the double lead in the miniseries, the twin sisters- Elliot and Beverly Mantle. Rachel Weisz gained her much-deserved popularity after playing her first double role in the hit movie, Constantine

Dead Ringers Amazon Prime Video Release Dates

Amazon Studios announced the remake of the thriller back in August 2020, along with the collaboration with Annapurna Television, and Morgan Creek Entertainment. 

The trailer that premiered earlier this week tells that Dead Ringers will be live on April 21 on Amazon Prime Video. 

How Many Episodes in Dead Ringers and What is The Run Time of The Show?

The limited series will have six episodes, all of which will air on the premiere date- the 21st of April 2023. Although there is no backed data, if rumours are to be believed, the average screen time of each episode is going to be around 60 minutes. 

All in all, we loved the original Dead Ringers movie that was released in 1988 and with Amazon bringing the remake, we are absolutely excited about this miniseries. The show is releasing on a long weekend, which is the cherry on the cake for all horror-thriller fans out there!
