Carter: A Thriller Movie Starring Joo Won with the Direction Of Jung Byung-Gil: Release Date, Cast, and More

After the success of his first internationally recognized film, “The Villainess”, director Jung Byung-Gil is all set to release his new thriller movie next month on Netflix. Starring Joo Won, one of the most appreciated Korean actors, this movie will showcase the challenges and threats that he faces during a mission. Apart from Joo Won, Lee Sung-Jae will also be starring in this movie. Sung-Jae is famous for his roles and acting in movies like ‘Art museum by the Zoo’ and ‘Kick the Moon’. The movie is written by Jung Byung-Gil and Jung Byeong-sik.

Carter Movie Release Date

Both Joo Won and Lee Sung-Jae confirmed their part in the movie around March and May of 2021. Jung Byung-Gil is all set to release his new thriller direction on August 5th, 2022. Netflix is the distribution partner of the movie and will be streaming it worldwide. The South Korean movie has gathered enough craze with its amazing casting and cinematography.

Synopsis

Joo Won, in and as Carter, wakes up two months after a deadly pandemic originating from the DMZ, already wreaking havoc in the United States and North Korea. Having no memory of the past, he mysteriously has a device in his head, a lethal bomb in between his jaws, and a voice in his ears that orders him ways to avoid getting killed. The movie is set to highlight the discoveries and challenges of Carter, who is unaware of his surroundings and is being chased by CIA agents and coups from North Korea.

The movie is set to cast Joo Won ad Carter and Lee Sung-Jae as Kim Jong-Hyuk. They are two eminent actors from South Korea. Joo Won has starred in movies like ‘King of Baking’, ‘Ojakgyo Family’, ‘Alice’, and more. On the other hand, Lee Sung-Jae is famous for his roles in ‘Kick the moon’ and ‘Attack the gas station’. The movie also stars Jeong Jae-Yeong as Dr. Jung Byong-hu. Jeong is a famous Korean actor, critically acclaimed for his roles in movies like ‘Silmido’, and ‘Right now, wrong then’. Apart from these eminent actors, the movie also casts Jeong So-ri, Kim, bo-min, and Jung Hae-Kyun.
