The fairytale is coming back on screens and everyone is excited about it. No matter how many animations we have seen so far, driving into the Barbie world is something one cannot but get excited about. The directors and producers have taken the big decision of turning the fictional world of Barbie into a live-action. However, it was quite anticipated that no one but Magot Robbie is going to play Barbie in the upcoming film. Here is everything we know about Barbie.

When is Barbie going to be Released?

Warner Bros has announced at CinemaCon that the film is going to be premiered in theaters on 21st July 2023. As the film is going to be released in July, we can assume that it is going to face massive competition with Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer, which has already created a hype among the viewers. 

Where to Watch Barbie?

The film is going to be released exclusively in movie theaters. Once the film is done with its theatrical release, it will be available to stream exclusively on Max, the newly launched streaming platform of Warner Bros, just like other recent releases of the production house, including Shazam! Fury of the Gods and Magic Mike’s Last Dance.

Barbie Movie Official Trailer

The first trailer of the film was released on 15th December by Warner Bros, just before the screening of Avatar: way to water. The first trailer literally flooded the internet. The second official trailer for the movie was released on 15th April, but just like the first teaser trailer, the second official trailer also didn’t talk much about what to expect from the upcoming movie.

Both these trailers successfully created excitement among movie lovers. After a long wait, on 25th May 2023, Warner Bros released the complete trailer for the upcoming Barbie movie. 

What is the Expected Plot of Barbie?

The production team made sure to keep the plot of the movie under wraps. However, from the statements of people who are related to this upcoming movie, we can assume that the plot is going to be completely different from whatever is anticipated. For example, we can talk about the statement Margot Robbie and her team made. According to the actress, no matter what people are thinking about the upcoming movie, the goal is to offer a completely different thing to the audience. Will Ferrell, who is a part of the movie, said, ” I get to play the CEO of Mattel and be that guy who’s just insensitive but weird and then, not to spoil anything, but…. Anyway, that’s what excites me.” This statement gives us an idea about the character of Mattel.

On the other hand, Margot Robbie, in an interview with Vogue, said that Barbie decided to leave Barbie Land because of an existential crisis. She also revealed that Kens don’t own anything in Barbie land. 

However, though we have a few assumptions about the movie, the plot is still not revealed by any of the actors or members of the production house. We can hope to see something extraordinary and full of fantasy on the big screen that can touch us at the core of our hearts.
