Parineeta Chopra backed off from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal and opted for Imtiaz Ali’s Chamkila. Pari was buzzed to cast as a lead opposite Ranbir Kapoor. Recently, news about Pushpa actress Rashmika Mandanna entering the project is rolling around social media.
If the buzzed and speculations are to be believed, this would be Rashmika’s third Bollywood project after Mission Manju and Goodbye.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Bhushan Kumar and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga stated that they wanted a fresh fit for Ranbir rather than casting the same actress again and again. The duo believes that Rashmika and Ranbir can set the stage on fire with their fresh chemistry.

The movie is buzzed to hit the screen this chilling summer. According to some sources, when Parineeta was contacted for Chamkila, she immediately stepped down from Animal. For Parineeta, it was a huge moment as she always wanted to collaborate with the visionary director Imtiaz Ali. Due to the date clashes issue, she won’t be able to shoot for Animal.
This movie would have marked the first collaboration of Parineeti and Ranbir if they would have worked together, but for sure, Rashmika will be seen as Ranbir’s wife in Animal. Besides this project, Rashmika has some South Indian projects, including Pushpa 2.
