Marvel, as we know, is famous for its post-credits, and one of the most searched post-credits is that of the movie Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022).
Here is what we can tell you about the post-credits from the movie. Before proceeding with the post-credits, let us refresh our memories of what happened in the movie. Once the threat to the multiverse was taken care of, Doctor Strange assured Wong that he was not affected by the dark magic of Darkhold. Yet when he is walking down the street, he screams in pain, and a third eye appears on his forehead. This third eye is similar to what his dark self had used in a different universe.
The First Post-Credits of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
In the first post-credit, we see Doctor Strange casually walking when a woman from a different dimension in a bright purple costume confronts him. The woman is Charlize Theron playing the role of Clea. Drawing a fancy dagger, she approaches Doctor Strange saying, “You caused an incursion, and we’re gonna fix it”. She slashes through the air to reveal a portal to a new dimension that looks scary and says, “Unless you are afraid,” to which Doctor Strange replies, “Not in the least” throwing his Cloak of Levitation over his shoulders and changing to his superhero costume, even his third-eye appears on his forehead, and both Clea and he jump into the portal.
Who is Clea in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness?
Clea is a powerful sorceress and is often referred to as the mysterious silver-haired girl in Marvel Comics. She is the ruler of the Dark Dimension, a mystical realm to which Dormammu has been banished.
In the comics, she subsequently marries Doctor Strange, and this is one of the main reasons the makers of the movie introduced her in the movie.
It is unsure when we may get to see her, but she will surely be a part of the next Doctor Strange.
Second Post-Credits of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
Remember in the movie when Doctor Strange was visiting the ‘Illuminati’ universe (838), he got into a fight with a small street vendor known as ‘Pizza Poppa’. Strange cast a spell forcing Pizza Poppa to beat himself. In the second post-credits audience sees that Pizza Poppa is still beating himself as his cart of ‘pizza balls’ is boiling. Suddenly, the spell is over, and he stops beating himself. He looks into the camera and shouts, “It’s over!”
Sam Raimi is known for giving such roles to Campbell in his movies. His role at the end was a unique and fun way to end the movie. We never know, Pizza Poppa may have a bigger role in the next sequel of Doctor Strange!
